Alliance for Skills and Knowledge to Widen Food Sector-related Open Innovation, Optimization and Development
The Erasmus+ Alliance for Skills and Knowledge to Widen Food Sector-related Open Innovation, Optimization and Development – ASKFOOD (www.askfood.eu) is an Erasmus+ Knowledge Alliance project aimed to upgrade and modernize training and educational methodologies in food-related sectors, leverage innovation and entrepreneurial mindset of the future generation of graduates, and improve academia-industry and stakeholders interplay in a Quintuple Helix innovation model on EU and international level.
The ASKFOOD project consortium will develop in an innovative and international “educational” environment: a cross-industry knowledge platform (Knowledge and Training Hub) to support innovative multi-actor food clusters; an Open Innovation framework to modernize higher education in food studies; an innovative mapping and co-design of training supported by Open Innovation methodologies (Labs, Virtual Incubator); an interactive repository of emerging skills and professional profiles (Interactive Atlas) to forecast future skill needs in the food sector and a permanent multi-sectorial, multi-disciplinary observatory on food education. The University of Teramo (UniTE) will coordinate the establishment, development, implementation and closure of this Knowledge Alliance.
